most women have a hobby. some scrapbook, others do cute wooden crafts or dried flower arrangements. apparently, mine is that i take crap from the d.i. and fix it up! yes, once again, i was at said d.i. and found something that i couldn't resist buying. this chair wasn't in the best shape but i loved the color of the upholstery and the shape of it, so i figured i'd see if i could make it work. i gave it a major cleaning with my carpet cleaner and then sanded and stained the arms and legs.
i think it turned out quite nicely, and the best part of this chair is that it rocks! and i don't mean like, "wow, this chair is awesome, it totally rocks!", i mean it is an actual rocking chair! seriously, how cool is that?!

on a side note...i will be leaving for phoenix for the next week and a half to hang out with my brother and sister-in-law, so my posts will probably be few and far between. anyway, pray for me in the HEAT!

You forgot to mention that it is comFEY.
You are so cute Laura! Way to find another fixer-upper. You have an eye for the good stuff.
I love that chair! I think that that isn't just a talent but a super power. Not many people can take junk and make it look that good. Have fun on vacation!
I'm impressed and you have a great eye! I think it is a great hobby!!
Nice job! That's cool that it rocks - it totally doesn't look like it would! I'm too lazy to buy stuff that needs fixing up, so I'm very impressed with anyone who can do that!
BTW - I tagged you - so when you get back home & have a sec, look at my "A to Z" post....
Well done Laura! That totally looks like something you'd find at Ikea! I'll have to hire you to find some good stuff for me too...
