my fedex man delivers!

after being awakend at 5:00 a.m. by a 3 year old who had wet the bed, a morning doctor visit for a possible ear infection for elliot and 10 years of being with the same man, i had all but written off this valentine's day as just any other day. but to my delight, this afternoon i received a knock at the door by a fedex man (not MY fedex man) delivering a pretty bouquet of tulips to me! now, over the years i've received many bouquets of flowers on valentine's day from tom, but they were usually meant for someone else but would wind up being a damaged package, so tom would just bring them home to me. but today this box actually had my name on it! we don't usually buy into the whole commercialism of valentine's day but it sure is nice to get a little token of love from your sweetie once in a while. thanks, babe! LOVE YA
