ghetto pops

when i was 15, i worked at an ice cream shop at the v.f. factory outlet mall after school and i LOVED it. my friend lindsey and i would sit and eat ice cream in those little white sample spoons throughout our whole shift. this ultimately resulted in an evening craving for ice cream that i still can't shake. with summer coming soon, i decided i should probably attempt to eat a little bit better (ha!) which led me to devise my "ghetto pops". they're super yummy and they're a healthier alternative to my beloved ice cream. i call them "ghetto pops" cause they're made in ice cube trays with popsicle sticks...like the ghetto kool aid popsicles we probably all had as kids. anywho, here's how to make them.

32 oz. tub vanilla yogurt
1/2 bag frozen mixed berries (or any other frozen fruit)

mix in a blender and pour into ice cube trays. set in freezer for 20 minutes. take trays out and place a popsicle stick in each cube. let freeze for another 2 hours.

i really like the mixed berries, they taste like a frozen jamba juice to me, but tom doesn't like the seeds in it. i think i'm going to try frozen peaches next time!

We are out of popsicles and so the other day we made a form of "ghetto pops" using ice cube trays. I will have to try your berry mix, it sounds really good.
