score!

i was talking to our awesome neighbor, mike, last week (the same one that gave us his sandbox) about the shutters on his house and he mentioned that his friend can get them for really cheap. so that day he came over and measured our windows and within two days he was back at our house with the sizes we needed. when i asked him how much i owed him for them, he said he had gotten them for FREE! WHOOPEE! they make such a difference on our simple little house.



also, i'm an activity day leader over the eight and nine year olds in our ward, and we did a really cute project yesterday. we talked about preparing to go to the temple (specifically dressing modestly) and so we made these jars for the girls to save their money in so that when they're ready to get married they can buy a wedding dress with the money! i loved this idea since it seems like boys are always saving when they're young to go on missions and i thought this was an awesome idea to give girls a goal to save for too!
