crying it out....sort of

"sleeping like a baby". who the crap came up with that saying? they obviously didn't have children because babies suck at sleeping! after over 6 months of waking up 4 or 5 times in the night, i decided that it was time for my elliot to start "crying it out". for all you non-parents out there, "crying it out" is fancy terminology for saying dump your baby in the crib and make them scream their lungs off until they eventually cry themselves to sleep. i know that this method is not for everyone, but it worked great with miss, and now it was elliot's turn. she wasn't waking up because she wanted me to feed her or for me to hold her, she just wanted her dang binky back in her mouth! so i rounded up every binky i had lying around and dropped them in the crib within arms reach of her. she basically didn't have to "cry it out" because she would just grab another binky and be back to sleep.

i'm on my 3rd full night of sleep!!!
