blah-g

okay, here's the deal people. my life has been crazy busy and not in a fun way, so i really haven't had too much time for my beloved blogging. between a new job, sick kids, home showings, ward callings and the demands of every day life, i'm afraid my brain is forming into a mushy mess. however, i am LOVING the new job! the only thing i can really complain about is my lack of workspace. this is about as much room as you get when you live in a townhome with kids!



that's right, i have all that business crammed onto a desk that's about two feet long. but whatever, it works.


tom and i did get a chance to go see "batman" this weekend, though. this was tom's second time seeing it, so of course he loved it. but i have to say (and i know i will be persecuted mercilessly for this) that if heath ledger was not in this movie it would be LAME! i was bored every time he wasn't onscreen. okay, i basically hated the movie. there. i said it. (bring on the hate mail!) i thought that christian bale was as engaging as a brick wall (not to mention that he sounded like he needed a throat lozenge and to take a retainer out of his mouth!), the BEAUTIFUL maggie gyllenhal (i'm being sarcastic) was horribly cast and it was about 45 minutes too long! good thing our tickets were free, or i would have been a little bitter! in fact, the most exciting part of going to that movie was my sister walking in on a couple of hooligans having sex on the BATHROOM FLOOR of the theater! icky and wrong!

well, there you go, people! my update for the week.

jumping on the BANDwagon

so i guess we bought "rock band". whatever. it wasn't my decision. but feel free to come over and play sometime. tom would love it!

apparently miss and tom were playing last night and she told him she was going to play the drums really loud so that jesus could hear. yeah, i'm pretty sure jesus doesn't want to hear "rock band" drums. i told her i think jesus likes soft music.



also, i know you all probably experienced that crazy rain storm yesterday, but i thought i'd show what the end of my street looked like.



what is it about a stagnant pool of water that makes kids come out of the woodwork? oh, and i love that one of the girls is on her cell phone in the POURING RAIN!

i bought this restaurant style high chair a while back, but i found another one this weekend that i like a little bit better. if anyone wants the old one, let me know. i don't have the room to keep it around for very long!

it seems that quite often lately, i've been hitting up thrift stores and then posting about my purchases.
