thankful...

too often i find myself wishing i had more than i do, complaining about what i DON'T have, and feeling envious of what others DO have.

in reality i have been blessed beyond measure & have failed to acknowledge those blessings...

i really am thankful for all that i have and hope you all have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

this sweet little gal is 7 years old today!

miss loves playing the piano, drawing & reading!

she's also an awesome big sister and is as sweet as pie (for the most part!)

it's 11.1.11 and this little dreamboat turns 1 today!



it was a hard year getting adjusted to four but we love him SO MUCH and we're so happy he decided to show up uninvited!

also a big happy 15th birthday to my nephew, chayden! he's about the coolest/sweetest/most talented 15 year old boy i know!

longest halloween post EVER!

me, oh my, i have been a blogging slacker!

lots going on. not lots of time to blog about it.

but we had a great halloween this year!

the week started off with pumpkin carving hildebrand style, which means lots of power tools and pumpkin guts everywhere!











the kiddos:

miss picked to be a vampire for halloween so grandma lisa whipped up this awesome cape for her! this picture doesn't do it justice but there was a ton of detail work on the inside lining that she did on it!



elli picked a sleeping beauty costume that miss wore a few years ago. it has seen better days but she loved every minute of wearing it and i think she still looked pretty cute!



sawyer got to be the lion that elli was last year because it was the only non-girly costume i had that fit him. he dug it.

the other day i was so sick of the toys spilling out of the playroom into the family room, that i stormed outside, grabbed the rake out of the shed and raked every last toy into a pile back into the playroom and then made my kids clean up the pile!
