if you're interested...

okay, i try really hard not to have a blog that's ALL about my children, but elliot has started saying "dada" and i finally got it on video! i'm fully aware that most of you won't be totally interested, so i apologize if this is a boring post!

(i realize it's sideways! sorry!)

flashback friday-valentine's dance

in honor of valentine's day next week, i decided to whip out another high school dance picture! this was taken in february of 1999 (note the chunky, strappy shoes and choker necklace). i'm sure the photographer told us how to pose because i've always thought that we look so awkward in this picture. tom's making a smirky face while he's kissing me, and it almost looks like i'm pulling away from him. i'm not a fan of couples kissing in pictures and my face reflects that!

the dentist!

miss had her first dentist appointment today and she did so great! i was expecting her to be timid and uncooperative, but she was so excited and had so much fun! she let them do everything they needed to do and she loved getting a prize afterward!

our weekend...

last night i had four twenty-something men in my living room, all with the same glazed over look in their eyes. why, you ask? two words "halo" and "50 inch plasma". okay, technically that was four words, but whatever, you get the point! we'd been planning on getting a new t.v. for awhile and decided that we couldn't pass up the great super bowl deals that were going on! a BIG thanks to the sweet's for letting us use their van to transport our purchase!

on a side note...i was making a potato dish today and was adding some salt & pepper to the top, when the lid of my pepper popped off and left me with this!

::sigh::

my sweet husband rinsed them all off and it ended up tasting fine.

flashback friday-middle school

i'm thinking that this picture was probably the last day of 8th grade which would make this around 1997. i'm not sure if you can tell exactly what i'm wearing, but the "look" i was going for back then consisted of lots of my dad's t-shirts paired with gym shorts or boxers. in this particular picture i'm wearing some kind of olympic t-shirt. also important-you HAD to have a matching scrunchie on your arm. mine is red, my friend alanna, in the middle, has one on her elbow, and i know that you can't see my other two friend's hands, but i have no doubt that they have a scrunchie on them somewhere!
